Features Hydro-Statics 101

When in equilibrium, liquid applies force to its container or any other material it comes in contact with. These fall into two types, hydrostatic load or outside force. The force applied by the liquid against a level wall is equivalent at every single point where it makes contact with the wall. Liquid in equilibrium will apply vertical pressure at every point of an object’s exterior when that object is fully immersed modern fountain in the liquid. This applied force is known as buoyancy, while the concept itself is known as Archimedes’ principle. Liquid acted on by hydrostatic force is then subject to hydrostatic pressure at the point of contact. The containers that make up a city’s fountains, wells, and its water supply system are applications of these principles.
